STATCOM TELECOMS, PROVIDERS OF VOIP TELEPHONE SYSTEMS FOR BIRMINGHAM, BECOME SPONSORS OF THE BIRMINGHAM ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS SCHOOL MANAGEMENT
Telephone Systems for Birmingham
Statcom Telecoms, providers of VOIP telephone systems for Birmingham, are pleased to announce we are now sponsoring The Birmingham Association of School Business Management. This is the fourth group of this kind of which we are patrons. The Birmingham Association of School Business Management (also known as BASBM) was formed in 1999, as the Birmingham Bursars’ Group, to represent the views of Bursars, Business Managers and other support staff in schools within the Birmingham area. The name was changed towards the end of 2015 to reflect national trends and the evolving and widespread roles undertake by the ever-growing membership.
They currently have around 400 members (three quarters of all Birmingham schools) and membership of the group is open to Bursars, Business Managers, Finance Officers and Senior Support Staff employed in school business management roles in educational establishments within the Birmingham area.
The group has close links with other educational groups and bodies including the Education Funding Agency (EFA), National Association of School Business Mangers (NASBM), Birmingham Education Partnership (BEP) and other regional groups. New members will be welcomed by the committee and supported by fellow members.
BASBM hold a conference each school term, this provides their members with an opportunity to:
- Hear from leading speakers as representatives from both local and national educational establishments.
- Assist their development in line with the ‘NASBM Professional Standards’ framework
- Network with colleagues from across the region
- Meet with specialist educational suppliers
The BASBM website provides a very effective platform for members to extend their support for each other between meetings. Members enjoy access to discussion forums where they can seek advice and share information. They can also access important bulletins, a calendar of events, useful documents and educational information.
